What are SD1 Connector Bolts?
The BEARFIX SD1 Connector Bolts are fastening elements specifically designed for critical structural connections. Manufactured according to the DIN EN ISO 13918 standard, these connectors offer superior technical characteristics that ensure safe and durable joints in applications where mechanical strength is essential.
Each connector bolt is made of S235J2 + C450 material, which provides exceptional mechanical properties including a minimum yield strength of 350 N/mm² and a tensile strength exceeding 450 N/mm². This combination of materials ensures not only the initial strength of the connection but also its long-term durability under variable load conditions.
Installation System: Arc Welding with Ceramic Ferrule
The installation of our SD1 connector bolts is carried out using arc welding with ceramic ferrule, a process that ensures uniform and consistent weld quality. The ceramic ferrule plays a fundamental role in this system, as it protects the weld pool during the process, controls the shape of the weld bead, and allows immediate visual verification of the joint quality.

Each diameter is designed to optimize load transfer, with carefully calculated weld dimensions to ensure maximum joint strength. For example, our 10 mm connectors have a weld diameter of 19 mm, while the 25 mm ones reach 48 mm, ensuring a bonding base proportional to the load they must withstand.
